style="text-align: justify;">Since my HP Compaq NC6320 notebook was Vista-capable, I could order an upgrade for about E20,- being just the administration and shipping costs. Since that time I ran Windows Vista Business 32bit and later the Windows Vista Ultimate 32bit version.

While in some large companies are still internally discussing whether to stay with the current Windows XP computer and notebook fleet or to upgrade to Windows Vista, there are many end-consumers and companies who have switched to Windows Vista.

In the early stages there were some driver issues, but in the meantime most developers have brought out Windows Vista drivers for their hardware, and dito for the software developers releasing Vista versions of their applications. Personally I really like the solid stability of the operating system, which keeps on running for about 3/4 of a year now, testing loads of software.

In many printed magazines articles are published about fine tuning Windows Vista, and turning some behind-the-scenes processes of in order to save resources. If done wrongly by a beginner it could have the opposite effect, and therefore Microsoft has released guidelines themselves.

The guidelines are also interesting for more advanced users, since it provides some additional background information, or it describes some tools you didn’t know. So have a look and download your copy <a
